Yikes!
We (my family and I) have had a VERY wild night. It was 2 nights ago actually. We had been home all day, and the weather seemed fine. But just before 6 pm, i started to rain and thunder (so obviously lightning :)). It wasn't bad. Then the wind picked up. My dad wasn't home from work and mom had just left for work, so we were home alone. We turned on the computer to watch the live feed of the weather, and even got a few phone calls from caring friends telling us to "Get in the basement!". So we did, and just kinda' chilled for a while. Then we started getting tornado warnings, and hearing about tornadoes in Greenback (about 10 miles from our house!!). Dad finally got home, and we decided it was best to clear out all the junk from the closet under the stairs, just in case--wink wink. After a while, the wind blew even harder, and the power went out. Then came the hail. It sounded like a tornado!! Gosh it was really scary! Even dad admitted he was pretty freaked! We got into the closet under the stairs and started praying up a storm! My sister was crying, bawling more like, Seth wouldn't stop talking, and all I could do-- other than pray-- was start blurting out all I had learned in science this year! We actually did learn some about how tornadoes, hail, and the like form. The hail died down and we went outside (smart, huh?) to collect some. It looked like snow it was so thick on the ground. Dad was freaked out because mom was still at work. We called: no answer. AHHH!!! Dad was just about to get in his car and go look for her, when she pulled into the drive way. After that, things calmed down. We decided to sleep downstairs, just in case. On the floor, the 3 kids were all piled onto cushions and a spare mattress. Mom read us Danny, Champion of the World. And I fell asleep. That's all the excitement I've got for now.
Please lift up a prayer for the people in the rest of the south. They are hurting. 300 people are dead due to this storm. Plenty more homeless. It's extremely sad.
Hope I haven't ruined your day with my depressing request, and scary story (not). Have a good one!

The Lord is Working
Hey ya'll!
I wanted to tell you about something I noticed last week. Our blog had the most views ever! We got views, one each, from Denmark, Slovenia, and Australia! Isn't that exciting?! God is using my blog to reach to different corners of the world! Who knows what He could be doing in those people's lives? I am so excited that God is using my blog to reach out. That's what I've wanted in the first place! I'm also excited and blessed that you all read and keep up with my blog. That is such a blessing. I love you guys! -Bailey

April Birthdays!
Ok, I know it's late, but I will forget this tomorrow. We have some birthdays we would like to bring to attention! Brianna (the 12th), Lydia (today!), Jacob (the 19th I think), Madison (also the 12th), Sarah (the 9th), and Ameena (the 13th)! I think that's everyone, but Brianna feel free to correct me by editing the post. We will do this every month now, because birthdays are important. Please, leave a comment with your birthday on it if you feel comfortable. We would love to add you to the list! Have a great Easter weekend!
In Him,
Bailey :)
In Him,

Happy Good Friday
Hello everybody!
I just wanted to remind you of what took place today 2000 years ago. Jesus died for you and me. He DIED. And conquered sin in the process. Would you die for someone you love? Jesus loves everyone, and he died for everyone. On Sunday, we will celebrate his Resurrection. He rose from the grave, and sits now on the right hand of the throne. Man I love you Jesus! Have an awesome Easter weekend. Remember it's true meaning. -Bailey
P.S. If you would like to reach me and Brianna, you can email us at littlepurpleipod@gmail.com
Thanks!

Spring is Here (part 2 :p)
Ahh spring. Rapidly turning into summer, getting to 90* spring that is. Haha! Anywho, these are some pics I took about 2 weeks ago. Hope you enjoy!
Ah...towels out on an old fashioned clothesline.

My dog, Chelsea. She could play fetch for hours!
Chelsea (the blond) and Buffet. Too cute, huh?
I don't have a very good camera, so they didn't turn out like a professional, but I still like them! -Bailey
Some Food For Thought
Let me ask you a question: Do you know what is best for you? Take a moment and answer this question. And be honest with yourself. I have answered this question, and I have found that no. I don't know what is best for me. Why? Because I don't hold my life in my hands. God holds my life.
It is a very common temptation to say, "I know what is best for me. I mean come on? Who's living my life anyway?" I had that temptation, and was saying that all the time. Now, not so much. I have realized that in my pride, I thought I was in control. I had everything right. I realize just how prideful I have been. All I want now is to be humble! I want to learn, Lord! Teach me!
I have learned that, not knowing what's best for yourself, you have to leave your life up to God. Surrender your life and let Him take over every aspect. In God's sovereignty and love, He gave you your parents. They also know what is best for you because they are trusting the Lord, and love you enough to tell you. I can't stress enough this point. My parents are so gracious to pick and choose what I can and can't do. Ultimately, when I obey my parents, I am doing what God wants me to. Because He knows best. He's never going to do anything to hurt you! So trust him. I thank God for showing me this, and allowing me to share it with you. Because without His hand guiding me, I would be nowhere. Let alone telling you about it. So please, give God the glory for this post. I did nothing here, except convey what I feel God wanted me to convey. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil" Proverbs 3:5-7
Have an awesome day!
